Mekhi was stuck in a cycle many young adults face—working in a job he didn’t love, unsure of his next move, and longing for direction.

Jason spent years in and out of incarceration. When his parole officer referred him to the Offender Success program, he was determined to change. Through hard work and a little help, Jason earned his Commercial Driver’s License and secured a great job.

Working with her Goodwill Career Coach, Keeria was provided job-readiness coaching, interview preparation, résumé assistance, and job-placement support.

Ben brings focus and positivity to his role at the Goodwill North Holland store, where he’s an expert in the baling process. He takes pride in knowing the weekly tag colors and begins each shift with energy and determination. His motivation inspires those around him.

One of Christopher’s biggest challenges was securing employment with his criminal background and adjusting to life outside of MDOC. From the start, Christopher was proactive, stepping out of his comfort zone to find both employment and housing.

Dwayne is a graduate of Goodwill’s new HVAC Certification training program that prepared him for a new career this in-demand field. After completing the 13-week course, Dwayne landed an HVAC technician position at Lascko Services.
